Connect AI and REAPER

AI interprets requests. REAPER Bridge carries out DAW actions. These are separate connections.

Connect your AI provider

  1. 01Open Preferences → AI / LLM and choose your actual provider, such as OpenAI, DeepSeek, Claude, Ollama, or a custom service.
  2. 02Enter the provider’s model, service address, and API Key. A web chat account password is not an API Key.
  3. 03Test the connection, save after it succeeds, then send a simple question in Chat.

Connect REAPER to the app

  1. 01Open REAPER and go to Preferences → REAPER Bridge in the app.
  2. 02Follow the page to choose the bridge directory, deploy it, and start it.
  3. 03Confirm it is connected, then try transferring an asset or running a simple action in a test project.

Check three things before running actions

  • •The open project is the one you intend to change.
  • •Selected tracks, Items, and the Time Selection match your request.
  • •You have reviewed the actions. Save or use a project copy before batch changes.
