Guide >
Metadata, UCS, and images
Inspect asset information, search by sound category, and use artwork to recognize related material.
Metadata: inspect the selected asset
- 01Select a sound, show the right panel, and choose Metadata.
- 02Read the name, description, source, notes, and project details. Available fields depend on the asset.
- 03Before saving, check Save in Wave. Off saves to the app database; on also attempts to write supported WAV metadata.
UCS: find sounds by category
UCS provides standard sound category names. Open UCS, search a category name or CatID, expand a group, and select a subcategory to narrow results. It is useful when you know “footsteps,” “machines,” or “wind” but not the filenames.
Fill missing UCS classifications
Fill missing UCS for online sounds in this database only. Existing classifications, including partial entries, are preserved. Checked databases and search filters do not change this scope.
Hybrid mode: Set up an AI provider in Settings first; usage fees may apply. Only text is sent, not audio. If the AI call fails, local results are used and a notice is shown.
Saves to the app database only; filenames and audio files stay unchanged. Review or correct AI results in the sound list.
- 01Right-click the target database in the sidebar and choose AI UCS classification.
- 02Use local mode, or hybrid mode after configuring an AI provider.
- 03When the task finishes, review categories in the sound list and correct them as needed.
Images: browse by artwork
Open Images to view embedded pictures or artwork already associated with assets. Click an image to open sounds using it, which helps browse a related asset pack. Missing artwork does not mean broken audio. This is not an image-generation tool.
